I’m going to keep this one short but so so sweet. Today, the book of my heart, the third novel I ever wrote, and the first to give me that clear, profound “yes” feeling of knowing this story was special, has finally (officially) hit shelves.
While the book has officially released today, I’ve had an amazing week already of readers and fellow authors sharing with me their preorders coming in early or finding a stack of the book already on shelves — many times on a table too!!! In some cases, I’ve been the one to see them in person. The absolute best moment was going to the Barnes & Noble on 5th Ave and spotting my book on a Booktok table surrounded by amazing titles/authors and having the booksellers tell me it’s a table they reserve for their YA bestsellers. Even better was having a dad immediately buy a signed copy for his teen daughter!!
To say my heart has grown three sizes is an understatement. I feel incredibly blessed in an industry that doesn’t reward hard work easily and even more so that you, dear reader, have welcomed this book of mine with the widest arms. Today, I’ll be doing an office tour at my publishing house, hurrying around the city signing more copies of my book, then celebrating my book launch at Books of Wonder (there’s still time to RSVP and attend!) before ending the evening at a dinner with my pub team. Then I’ll be off to Dallas followed by the rest of my tour.

I still cannot believe it. Somehow, despite many years of trials and failures and long tiring moments of quiet in between, I’ve made it to the finish line. My big kid dream has finally come true. Now my first book baby is yours to love and cherish just as much as I have — and always will. Here’s to Tasha & Leo and their story and my own that I’ve only just begun to tell.
Until next time,
This is all very exciting!! Congratulations, Elora!!!
Elora, your Auntie Bianca loves you and is so proud of your success. Your sequel will have to be written in Milan. Waiting for you!. Enjoy your tour!
